Vikitra CukoDear readers,

The work of state inspectorate of labor goes beyond the limits of the challenge. Labor market in Republic of Albania, especially in private sector, aims at creating a strong tradition similar to that of EU countries.

I can not negate that there are a lot of attempts by many businesses, especially manufacturing ones, to establish a consistent labor market, but this must be transformed into a general attitude in the country.

This is the reason why I think that the work of Inspectorate goes beyond the limits of a challenge and it is transformed into a struggle which demands multilateral cooperation. State Institutions have already developed a work plan. State Labor Inspectorate is operational all over the country and it aims to further develop into local structures.

We are committed to complete approximation of our legislation with EU directives within 2010 and amend it in accordance to the conventions that are ratified by Albanian Parliament. Despite insufficiency, our structures are required to control and monitor all entities in regard to security and health conditions, especially the problematic entities.

We are committed to conduct inspections in order to eradicate unfair competition between business entities in the labor market. Our focus is to increase cooperation with other institutions and inspectorates that are responsible for employees’ health security conditions, such as: Sanitation Inspectorate, Institute of Public Health, Central Technical Inspectorate, etc.

The cooperation with social partners is helping us to increase public awareness in regard to security and health issues. This is a crucial objective to us. I need to emphasize that improved cooperation with employers will lead to accomplishment of our objectives.

Therefore, I would invite you to visit this webpage and to make your best efforts in order to increase awareness, to denounce and to eradicate unfair relationship in the labor market or any other illegal labor relationship.

We look forward to your cooperation.
